Biodegradable Film Blowing Machine Demo at Tongcheng Expo
2026-10-19Jiangyin Yuexing Machinery ran a live demo of its biodegradable film blowing machine at the 9th China Anhui Tongcheng Plastic Packaging Machinery Exhibition, held October 18–20, 2026 at the Tongcheng Shuangxin Industrial Park Exhibition Center. On the opening day the machine produced white biodegradable film at 41.80 kg/h in continuous operation, for packaging manufacturers visiting the Tongcheng cluster visiting the Tongcheng cluster.
The Demo: 41.80 kg/h on PLA/PBAT, Read Off the Control Panel
The figures below were read off the machine's digital control panel during the run, not taken from a spec sheet:
| Parameter | Reading |
|---|---|
| Hourly output | 41.80 kg/h |
| Line speed | 65.29 m/min |
| Roll length | 1,497 m |
| Melt temperature | 155°C |
Visitors watched the full extrusion path — material feeding, die head, cooling stack and winding station — with the bubble holding stable for the whole demonstration.

Why Converters Are Asking for Biodegradable Film Blowing Machines
Tongcheng is one of China's largest plastic packaging industry clusters, with a supply chain running from raw resin through to finished bags and containers. Demand for degradable film here concentrates in the same segments the cluster already serves — shopping bags, express mailers, mulch film and food packaging.
What has changed for converters is the material, not the machine count. PLA, PBAT and other biodegradable resins are moving out of pilot projects into regular production, pushed by tightening environmental regulation and by brand owners writing degradability requirements into their packaging specs.
That shift creates a problem a standard line does not solve on its own. Biodegradable resins do not behave like LDPE in the barrel — they are more sensitive to heat history and shear, and most grades need drying before extrusion. A machine tuned for polyethylene will not simply "work" on PLA.
Yuexing builds machines for biodegradable applications with adjusted screw geometries and a narrower temperature profile than a standard LDPE line, which is how output stays stable without giving up film clarity or mechanical strength. Because these projects rarely fit a catalogue model exactly, most lines end up somewhere between a standard configuration and a full custom build — the ABC rotating 1–5 layer film blowing machine is the platform most of them are built on. We've also written about what actually counts as customization on a film blowing machine for buyers who want to see where their project sits.
If you are evaluating biodegradable film production, the fastest way to judge a supplier is to watch your own resin run — we test PLA/PBAT batches on our lines before a customer commits. Two recent projects worth reading: a 2600mm wide-width line in Egypt and a three-layer ABC line with IBC cooling in Thailand.
Founded in 1996, Yuexing Machinery has supplied film blowing machines to more than 30 countries. Send us the resin grade and film spec you are working with, and we will tell you what configuration and temperature profile it needs.
