Yuexing Machinery Visits Thailand Customer for ABC Film Blowing Machine Project

Yuexing Machinery team visiting J.H. Industries in Thailand for ABC film blowing machine project

Last month, our team traveled to Thailand to visit a packaging company near Bangkok. This customer had already toured our factory in Jiangyin earlier this year, but this trip was different—we needed to see their floor before finalizing the machine layout.

The project involves an ABC three-layer co-extrusion film blowing machine with IBC cooling, designed for outer packaging bags. Walking through their facility, we checked the available floor space, ceiling height for the bubble tower, and power supply capacity. One detail we spotted during the walk: the compressed air line runs on the opposite side from where they initially wanted the winder. We'll adjust the machine layout slightly to avoid a long piping extension.

This is why I always push for site visits before finalizing orders. I've been in this business since 1996, and I've seen projects go sideways because someone assumed the factory floor was flat, the ceiling was high enough, or the power was three-phase. Standing in the customer's building takes 30 minutes and saves weeks of delays later.

During the technical meeting, we confirmed the die width, screw configuration, and cooling specifications. The customer wants to run recycled material in the center layer with virgin material on the outer layers—standard ABC logic, but the exact ratios depend on their local raw material prices and the end product requirements. We agreed on the configuration and are now preparing the production drawings.

Day one was the factory walk and measurements. Day two was the technical confirmation meeting. The trip was straightforward, but it caught two layout issues that would have been expensive to fix after the machine arrived.

I tell our sales team: Don't rely on photos and measurements sent by the customer. Go see it. Even a good customer can miss a support column, underestimate the shipping door width, or forget that their existing line blocks the path for the new machine.

This isn't the first overseas customer visit we've done, and it won't be the last. We've shipped machines to 30+ countries, and the factories that prepare properly before installation are the ones that start production smoothly.

Define output based on your specific film gauge and resin type. Real-world performance depends on maintaining bubble stability at your thinnest target micron. What are the Industry 4.0 requirements for new machines?

Yes, but it requires specific specs. For a 15-150 micron range, you need an adjustable die gap, an 8:1 haul-off speed range, and a flexible air ring. Changeover time usually takes 30-45 minutes. How Adjusting die gap
