What is the difference between ABA and ABC blown film lines?

2025-02-13

Both ABA and ABC blown film lines can produce three-layer films, but the main difference between them is the number of extruders and the design of the flow channels. ABA consists of two extruders, and ABC consists of three extruders.

ABA blown film line

The ABA blown film line is equipped with two extruders, extruder (A) for the outer and inner layers, and extruder (B) for the middle layer. This machine is often chosen to reduce costs, such as adding recycled materials to the middle layer (B extruder) or adding CaCo³ (calcium carbonate) to increase weight, because these plastic bags are mostly supplied to shopping malls and supermarkets as grocery shopping bags. For situations where pricing is by weight, the ABA blown film line is more effective in budget control.

ABC blown film line

The ABC blown film line is equipped with three extruders, and the proportions and materials of each layer are controllable and optional. In addition to making different colors of film from the outer and inner layers, barrier layers can also be made with different materials and proportions, which can be used for vacuum packaging, waterproof packaging, food packaging, and agricultural packaging, etc.

Film blowing machines are mainly used to produce HDPE and LLDPE composite plastic bags, which can be used for daily packaging bags, such as T-shirt bags and garbage bags.
